Our Story

Third Paw Music is led by Nick Altieri and Alex Pittman, a husband and wife team who first crossed paths in Ear Training 3 at Berklee College of Music. From that very first class, they discovered a shared passion for bringing music to life. That passion grew into a creative partnership and a company built on precision, artistry, and collaboration.

Every project we take on is fueled by our love of music. We focus on the details so the music and the people behind it can look and sound their absolute best. Whether we are working with a single artist or a full orchestra, our goal is always the same: elevate the work, honor the vision, and make the process feel effortless.

The name Third Paw Music is inspired by Maddie, our three‑legged dog, whose determination and spirit remind us daily to always go the extra paw.

    CREATIVE DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER

    Nick brings a clear, thoughtful musical perspective to every project, drawing on years of experience as an arranger, composer, and orchestrator. He has a knack for hearing where a piece can go next and shaping ideas into arrangements that feel purposeful and cohesive. Whether he’s building out a full orchestral texture or tightening the details of a small ensemble, Nick’s work helps artists realize the full potential of their music. Outside the studio, he’s usually out on his bike or experimenting with a new dinner recipe.

    DIRECTOR OF MUSIC OPERATIONS & CO-FOUNDER

    Organized, intuitive, and endlessly passionate, Alex keeps every project moving so the creativity can flow without interruption. She brings clarity to complex timelines, turns big ideas into actionable plans, and makes sure artists and collaborators always feel supported. With a sharp ear and a calm presence, she helps transform musical visions into finished work that lands exactly the way it’s meant to be heard. In her free time, she can usually be found crocheting amigurumi or reorganizing her ever‑growing nail polish collection.

Together, they make sure Third Paw stays joyful, well‑walked, and never short on inspiration.
